Expressions of Interest for Hotel Manager and Relief Hotel Manager

We’ve found that entrepreneurial spirit and ownership often go hand in hand with success in our business, particularly for our Hotel Managers.

As Hotel Manager, you’re not just overseeing operations, you’re driving the business. With your commercial goals in mind, you’ll act strategically—thinking long-term, but moving quickly in decisions and actions—to keep the hotel agile, efficient, and performing at its best. 

Our hotels are structured like small businesses. Our Hotel Managers understand that real success means staying focused on what drives performance. Backed by a supportive operations and shared services team, you’ll bring fresh thinking and a hands-on approach to make your hotel thrive.

Your priorities will be to:

  • Optimise business turnover and delivery of business operating profit
  • Design, execute and drive business development and growth
  • Establish a high-performance team aligned to our core values of Relationship Focused, Integrity, Personal Growth & Ownership Mindset
  • Manage daily hotel operations in line with our Veri-Best Framework
  • Optimise guest satisfaction and management
  • Drive business compliance and critical incident management
  • Facility and asset management
  • Management administration and reporting

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

We work in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same, so we’re looking for people who are adaptable, enjoy variety and operate with an ownership mindset.

The successful person must have:

  • Approved Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or a Visa with approved working rights)
  • First Aid Certificate (or be able to obtain before starting)
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or be able to obtain before starting)
  • Willingness to obtain a Liquor Licence (at Veriu expense)
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team with kindness in order to achieve outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems complaints 
  • High standards of attention to detail and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Experience managing people in a customer service environment
  • Passion for personal growth
